In order to process a new Affiliate appointment, you will need to take the following steps:
- The Host or Designee will submit a Hire Request. HR Shared Services will receive the request and follow up accordingly if any additional information is required.
- HR Shared Services will proceed with next steps in creating a requisition and inviting the Affiliate to apply.
- Once the Affiliate has finished completing their application, the Affiliate will then need to complete necessary electronic tasks. Some subsequent conditional tasks may also need to be completed by the Host and other parties at the Berkeley Lab (such as a Visa or FVA review).
- When all tasks have been completed, HR Shared Services will hire the Affiliate into the HR system and a welcome email/site access letter will be sent to the Affiliate.
